Day 01: Arrive - Delhi

Max Holidays welcomes you to Delhi ! As you arrive at Delhi airport you see the company representative standing just outside the airport waiting for you with a placard of your name. He will greet you in Indian traditional style and will transfer you to your hotel in your private air conditioned car. Night stay will be at the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi sightseeing.

Start your Golden Triangle tour with sightseeing tour of Delhi. Delhi offers a magical contrast of old and new civilization. The beautiful monuments of Delhi takes you to age old history and on the other hand the fastest growing city offers you altra modern facilities, wide roads, bridges, metro rail, beautiful gardens and much more.

Start your sightseeing trip from Old part of Delhi. Drive past through Red Fort and from the gate of the fort take a rickshaw ride to go in the narrow and busy streets of Old Delhi. While you ride on the cycle rickshaw you witness the busy lifestyle of the people here. Get off the rickshaw and visit the largest mosque of Jama Masjid which is situated in the middle of the busy Chandni Chowk. Visit the Silvere Square and drive to Raj Ghat to see the cremation ground of Mahatma Gandhi, father of the nation.

From here continue drive through India Gate, President’s Palace, Parliamanet Buildings and reach the national Museum of Delhi (Monday closed). After visiting the museum, enjoy your relaxed lunch in a city restaurant while recalling and discussing about the sites of Old part of the city just visited by you.

After lunch visit the tallest building of India - Qutub Minar, the beautiful masterpiece of Mughal Achitecture in India - Humayun’s Tomb and Lotus shaped Temple of Bahai’s.

Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur.

After lisurely breakfast we are set to leave to Jaipur – the capital city of historical state of Rajasthan. Jaipur also known as Pink city has been a major tourist attraction since ages. Its age old historical monuments, busy narrow and colourful bazaars and hospitality of its people is unparalleled.

Upon arrival check into the hotel and then take a half day sightseeing tour of Jaipur city. Start the trip of Jaipur from Hawa Mahal which is one of the most beautiful palaces of Rajasthan with its beautiful structure designed with many windows. Then visit the City Palace Museum and Jantar Mantar Observatory. Do not miss the chance to take a rickshaw ride in the colour markets of Jaipur.

Back to your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 04: Jaipur sightseeing

Start with the enjoyable and exciting tour of the impressive Amber Fort - situated just 11 kms far from Jaipur city. On arrival at Amber fort enjoy the elephant ride from the base to the pinnacle of the fort. The Fort is accomplished at the beginning of 18th century and took over 100 years to build. After excursion to Amber fort also pay a visit to massive Jaigarh Fort which overlooks the Amer Fort from the top of the hill named ‘Cheel ka Teela’ . Jaigarh Fort was mainly constructed by the king to safeguard the city of Amer Fort from any possible attack. Today apart from its massive structure the largest canon ‘Jaivana’ is the major tourist attraction at Jaigarh Fort.

Spend some time in the markets of Jaipur doing some shopping for yourself, friends and your loved once. Jaipur is considered to be the paradise for shoppers. It is world famous for precious and semi precious stoones, handicrafts and textiles, carpets and jewel items.

In the evening enjoy folk dance performances in a local restaurant followed by dinner.

Day 05: Jaipur – Abhaneri Stepwell-Fatehpur Sikri - Agra

After breakfast drive to the city of Taj Mahal. Agra was formerly the capital of Mughal Emperor and known to the world for its wonder of the world ‘Taj Mahal’.

En route stop at Abhaneri village situated about 95 kms off Jaipur on Jaipur-Agra highway. Abhaneri village home to the less discovered but one of the finest stepwell in the world named ‘Chand Baoli’. The stepwell was built in 800-900 AD. We continue our drive towards Agra and again stop 30 kms before Agra where a huge fort shaped city attracts our attention. We have reached to Fatehpur Sikri, the forbidden city of Mughal Empire. Visit Fatepur Sikri and drive to Agra for relaxed time and night stay.

Special remarks : In the evening we will have a 80 minutes special show ‘Mohabbat-e-Taj’ arranged in a local private theater (availabile only during October to April normally). This show speaks about the story behind the making of Taj Mahal.

Day 06: Agra sightseeing

After breakfast, go for a city tour start with the visit of the imposing Taj Mahal - This well-known Mughal tombstone was build by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1630 in reminiscence of his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Later proceed for sightseeing of the city including the majestic Agra Fort - Built by the great Mughal emperor Akbar with red sandstone so it is also called as Red Fort, also visit Itmad-Ud-Daulah’s Tomb known as “Baby Taj” - A marble monument with delicate set in work built by Noor Jahan, queen of Jahangir, for her father, in 1628. Later in evening return back to the hotel for night stay at Agra.

Day 07: Agra – Jhansi (by Shatabdi Express train)– Orchha

Early morning transfer to the railway station for your airconditioned express train journey to Jhansi. Upon arrival at Jhansi station meet with our representative for assistance and proceed to the village of Orchha (18 kms) to check-into the hotel booked for you. In after noon get ready to enjoy sightseeing tour of Orchha, unnoticed by the contemporary period. This gorgeous medieval city was once the capital of Bundela rulers. The various impressive places of interest are the Jehangir Mahal - built by Raja Bir Singh Deo to honor the visit of Mughal Emperor Jehangir, the Raj Mahal and the Laxmi Narayan temple - both renowned for their fine Frescoes and wall painting. Later In evening gets transferred to the hotel for over night stay at Orchha.

Day 08: Orchha - Khajuraho

Morning after breakfast drives to Khajuraho and upon arrival in the city of love and romance check-in at hotel and get relaxed. Later visit the most significant and charming Western Group and Eastern group of erotic temples. These temples consists of 3 Hindu, and 3 Jain temples. Kandariya Temple, Vishvanath Temple, Lakshmana Temple, Chaturbhuja Temple, Jagdambi Temple etc are some of the main attraction the complex.

To censerve the rich inheritance of Khajuraho temple’s structural design UNESCO has affirmed Khajuraho temples a ‘World Heritage Site’.

The temple complex comes alive in the evening when a 50 minutes ‘Light & Sound Show’ evoke the life and times of great Chandela Dynasty and tells the story of this great architecture dating back to 10th century.

Day 09: Khajuraho – Delhi (by flight)

After early morning breakfast at hotel, enjoy the morning in the romantic city of Khajuraho. In afternoon get transferred to the airport with the assistance of Max Holidays representative to board your flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, our representative will meet you and get transfer to your pre booked hotel. Check in hotel and get freshen up. Spend rest of the time for your personal leisure and last minute shopping. Overnight stay will be at your hotel.
