Overview

Birthplace of Lord Krishna, the temple city of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh is flooded with devotees 365 days a year. The alleys and by lanes of this 2500 years old city are abundant with idols of Lord Krishna, smell of ‘Peda’ prasadam wafts through the air and ears ring with bhajans in praise of the Lord. Jama Masjid and the Katra Masjid, built by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb is an example of the multicultural ethos of India and are not to be missed.
