Pick up from hotel & assisted transfer to New Delhi railway station to board the superfast air conditioned train Shatabdi express to Agra.
06.10 AM : Depart from Delhi in train
Departure of Shatabdi Express from New Delhi railway station. Light breakfast will be served in the train which is included in the ticket price.
08.10 AM: Arrival in Agra
Arrive Agra railway station. Meet with our local guide and driver who will be with you today for the trip. Straight away drive to the city to start sightseeing tour of Agra on a Day Tour to Taj-mahal-by-train.
09.00 AM : Visit Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal - We start our trip with a visit to the gorgeous Taj Mahal which is the iconic monument not only for Agra but for India. Thousands of people visit this beautiful monument from around the world. Built by Shah Jahan as the final resting place for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, Taj Mahal has the honour of being named as one of the world's seven wonders as well as a World Heritage Site. Built in marble this grandiose white structure Taj Mahal is a symbol of eternal love and can be seen from miles around. It is a fine example of Persian style of architecture in India on the white marble and it took about 20,000 men to work for almost seventeen years to complete this monument.

11.00 AM : Visit Agra Fort
The giant fort of Agra is built in red sandstone on the bank of river Yamuna. Built in 1566, by the Emperor Akbar, the fort has many important sites to visit including ‘Hall of Public Audience, Hall of Private Audience, beautiful lawns, mosque, etc. This is where Shah Jahan, the creator of world renowned monument Taj Mahal was kept under house arrest by his son Aurangzeb. From here, in his last yea, Emperor Shah Jahan used to see Taj Mahal and remember his beloved wife.
01.00 PM : Lunch at Agra
After having visited Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, we drive into the city to relax and have lunch in a hotel or at some posh city restaurant.
02.00 PM : Visit Fatehpur Sikri
Fatehpur Sikri – After the lunch, next destination to be visited on Day Tour Taj Mahal is the Ghost city of Fatehpur Sikir that is about 30 kms at the outskirts of Agra City. Fatehpur Sikri was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar to change his capital from Delhi to Fatehpur Sikri that caused the construction of this massive fort city had to abandon it due to scarcity of water in Fatehpur Sikri and surrounding areas. However, before leaving the Agra, Akbar left the city with some marvellous red stone monuments to be cherished and appreciated by posterities including that you can visit on a Day tour of Taj Mahal on train including iwan-e-Am (House of Public Audience), Diwan-e-Khas (House of Private Audience), Jodha Bai’s Palace, named after Akbar’s Rajput wife, Panch Mahal (Five Stories Summer Palace) and many more other interesting monuments. One should not miss to visit the Dargah of sufi saint Khwaja Mainnudin Chishti in the complex and also the ‘Buland Darwaja’
06.00 PM : Driving Back to Agra and Shopping
Returning Back to Agra you can explore local market to buy some artistic souvenirs to take home back as fabulous handicrafts, made of marble and soft stone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in Zari embroidery work. It is also known for its Sweets “Petha”, “Gazak” & “Dalmoth”.
07.30 PM : Transfer to Agra railway station
You will be transferred to Agra Cantonment railway station to board your superfast air conditioned train to Delhi.
09.15 PM : Departure of train from Agra
Departure of Shatabdi Express train from Agra. Dinner (light snacks) will be served in the train which is included in the ticket.
11.30 PM : Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi at 2330 hrs and you will be picked up by our staff who for escorted drive from railway station to your hotel.
