Observatory Hill
Apart from the exotic view of snow-clad peaks, this oldest site commands, great religious importance is attached to the observatory hill by both Shivas and Buddhists who share the temple that stands here today and Enjoy see at Tea Tree in Darjeeling.
Tiger Hill
Situated at an elevation of 2,590 meters (8482 ft.) and 11 kms from the town, this spot is well recognized internationally by mountain and nature lovers for the exotic view of sunrise over world’s most majestic mountains – Kanchanjunga and the great eastern Himalayan mountains. Even Mount Everest, 225 kms away rarely designs to come out of the cloudy mists is visible from here.

Batasia Loop
About 5 kms from Darjeeling, this railway loop is an interesting example of engineering. It is fascinating to watch the toy train that takes a very unique turn at this loop.
Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
This unique institution is a must visit place which was created by late Tenzing Norgay, the Sherpa and Sir Edmund Hillary on 29 May 1953 to train the mountaineers. Situated on Jawahar Parbat road, this institute houses a museum containing an amazing collection of mountaineering equipment.
Dhirdham Temple
Situated near to Darjeeling railway station, the architecture of this temple resembles the famous Pashupatinath temple of Kathmandu. It was built by Rai Saheb Purna Bahadur Pradhan in 1939.

Kalimpong City
Located at an elevation of 1250 meters, Kalimpong is a tranquil hill station nestled in Shiwalik Hills in the Indian state of West Bengal. Somewhat secluded and tucked away in the corner under big Darjeeling umbrella, Kalimpong holds attractions like Buddhist monasteries, orchid nurseries, a sericulture centre and Dr. Graham’s home for providing education to children of tea workers.
Gangtok City
Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim is a unique hill resort situated at a height of 5500 ft. Well known for its scenic beauty, Gangtok is considered as a centre for political, commercial, religious and cultural activities of the Sikkimese people. Because of its topography, the town enjoys a mild temperate climate with a temperature of around 20 degree Celsius in summer and around 6 degree Celsius in winters. Pelling City
Pelling is a pleasant hill station well known for its magnificent view of snow-capped mountains. The nearest airport to Darjeeling is Bagdorga about 100 kms from Darjeeling. It is well connected to the other

By Rail
By means of toy train one can explore the real beauty of Darjeeling that is operating between Siliguri and New Jalpaiguri. The nearest railway station is New Jalpaiguri situated at a distance of 88 kms away from Darjeeling.
By Road
Darjeeling is well connected by a good network of roads with Sikkim, Nepal, Bhutan and all of its surrounding hills. The major access to Darjeeling is via Silliguri which is connected to all major cities.
