Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
You will be met by Max Holidays representative in traditional Indian style at Delhi International airport who will escort you to your pre booked hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02 :
Delhi sightseeing
Today morning after sumptuous breakfast you will meet our knowledgeable guide in the hotel who will take you for full day guided tour of the capital cityof India. Delhi is divided in two parts Old and New Delhi. Delhi was once the capital of Muslim India between the 12th and 19th centuries and one can find mosques, monuments and forts related to Muslim history. New Delhi is the imperial city planned by Edwin Lutyens as India's capital by the British. Red Fort constructed by Shah Jehan between the year 1638-1648 A.D. Raj Ghat ,the cremation ground of the national freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi also known as father of the Nation. Humayun's Tomb was built by Hamida Banu Begum, widow of Humayun in 1565.AD, it is said that Taj Mahal borrowed the architectural style from Humayun’s Tomb. Safdarjung's Tomb stands today in the lush green garden as the last phase of the Mughal style of architecture. Later visit Qutab Minar which was started by Qutab ud din Aibek of slave dynasty but later it was completed by Iltutmish. It is 73 meters high which tapers from a 15 m diameter base to just 2.5 m at the top. Drive past through India Gate (The war memorial) and President's Palace. Evening you are free for own activities. Night stay in your hotel.

Day 03 :
Delhi - Jaipur (257 kms / 5 hrs drive)
After breakfast drive to the capital of royal state of Rajasthan, Jaipur also called pink city as most of the

building are pink in colour . After checking formalities at the hotel go for half day city tour visiting Jantar Mantar - The Observatory which reflects how excellent the astronomy was in the 17th century. It was made by Raja Jai Singh in 1728 A.D. The magnitudes of precision about the position of stars, latitudes, longitudes azimuths or even calculating eclipses are brilliant. Next to the observatory is City Palace, one wing of the palace has been converted into museum which houses the collection of artillery and textiles. In other wing it is the residence of the former Maharaja of Jaipur. Hawa Mahal- Palace of Winds is another amazing building; originally Hawa Mahal was built to enable the ladies of the royal families to watch the everyday life and processions of the city. Evening enjoy your dinner with rajasthani dance. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04 : Excursion to Amer and Jaigarh Forts
Today after early breakfast, go for an excursion to Amer fort located atop the Aravali hills, it was the ancient capital of Jaipur. We ascend to the fort in a royal style by riding on the Elephant's back. Amber fort is constructed of white and red sandstone .It is a blend of both the Hindu and Muslim style of ornamentation when we look the interiors of the fort which are designed with murals and frescoes which describes the daily errand. Later visit the Jaigarh Fort overlooking the Moata Lake where you can see one of the biggest canons dating back to the 11th century. Evening free to explore the city and night stay in the hotel.
Day 05 : Jaipur - Agra (245 kms / 5 hrs drive)
Drive to Agra after breakfast en route visiting “Ghost Town” of Fatehpur Sikri. It was once the capital of Mughal
Empire made by Akbar the Great king. It was made capital to honor the Sufi saint Salim Chisti by whose bless Akbar was gifted with son whom he named Jehangir. Later the city was abandoned due to the scarcity of water. Later proceed to Agra and check into the hotel. Rest of the evening free to relax and enjoy the facilities of the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06 : Agra - Gwalior (120 kms / 3 hrs drive)
Early morning leave for Taj Mahal whose beauty is glorified when the rays of sun falls and the colorful stones embedded shines brightly. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World built by Shah Jehan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz. Return to the hotel for breakfast and later go for sightseeing of Agra Fort. During Akbar time it was more like military structure but later at Shah Jehan’s time it was converted into Palace. From the fort one can have a clear picturesque of Taj Mahal. Later drive to one of the royal city of central India Gwalior. Upon arrival check in hotel. Overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 07 :
Gwalior - Orchha (120 kms / 3 hrs.)
In the morning after breakfast go for sightseeing of city, visit Gwalior situated on rocky sandstone. The fort was built by different rulers during different periods. The fort hosts Teli ka Mandir, Shahastra Bahu temple of Vishnu. Also visit Jal Vilas Palace and museum , it is the palace of royal Scindia family and a part has been converted into museum. Later drive to Orchha a small hamlet on the bank of the river Betwa. Upon arrival check in hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 08 : Orchha - Khajuraho (178 kms / 4 hrs.)
Today morning visit Jehangir Mahal which is one of the most remarkable architecture of Orchha .It was built by
Raja Bir Singh to honor the visit of Jehangir to Orchha. The architecture bears an Islamic touch. Also visit Raj Parveen Mahal built by king Indramani in the 17th century for his love to Poetess Parveen who was gifted with extraordinary talent. Chaturbhuj temple built in the year 1558-1573 is placed on big stone formation. Laxminarayan temple is also worth to be seen. Later drive to Khajuraho. On arrival check in hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel
Day 09 : Khajuraho - Varanasi by flight
Khajuraho is famous for the exotic temples also called the “temples of Love”, it has two groups Eastern and Western which comprises a group of temples. These temples were built by Chandela rulers during 09-12th century A.D. The most famous temple among the western group is Kandriya Mahadev temple dedicated to lord Shiva which depicts divine deities, celestial maidens, eternal lovers, gods and goddesses. In eastern group the most famous temple is Parasvnath which is the largest Jain temple among the Eastern group. Later you will be driven to airport to take your flight to one of the holiest and ancient cities of India Varanasi. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative at the airport who will escort you to your hotel. Evening you will be taken to the River Ganges to watch the evening prayer offered to holy river Ganges. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10 : Varanasi sightseeing and train to Delhi
Early morning Boat ride on River Ganges to witness the early morning affairs which takes place on the bank of
the river. Also take a boat ride to see the activities taking place on the Ganges. Later return to hotel for the breakfast and after that go for an excursion to Sarnath where lord Buddha gave his first sermon after attaining the godly power. Visit the ruins of Sarnath. On return to Varanasi go for sightseeing of temples .The Durga temple dedicated to goddess Durga (Interestingly the Durga Temple is also known as the Monkey Temple due to the large number of monkeys found in the Temple premises). Also visit the Banaras Hindu University. In the evening you will be taken to the railway station to board your overnight train to Delhi. Night on board the train.
Day 11 : Arrive Delhi from Varanasi
On arrival in the morning at New Delhi railway station you will be met by our representative who will escort you to your hotel. Rest of the day free for relaxation.
Day 12 : Leave Delhi
The representative of Max Holidays will ensure timely transfer for you to the airport to board your onward flight.
