There is also one Nature Cure Centre, which caters to the therapeutic needsof the visitors.
This beach of Kerala is also rich in mineral water springs and it is believed that a holy dip in its waters washes away the sins and hence this shore is also known as 'Papanashini', that is washer of all sins. At the break of dawn following the new moon in the Malayalam month of 'Karkidakam',thousands offer 'Vavu Bali', a ritual believed to help the souls of ancestors rest in peace.
