Indias tribal population constitutes about eight percent of the nations total population, thatis 68 million. From the exotic northeast, to the states of Orissa and Madhya Pradesh, the tribal people of India still follow their ancient customs and rituals. Each of the tribal population in India has a legacy of customs,deeply rooted in tradition and superstition. The northeastern region of India includes the states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland,Meghalaya and Mizoram.
