Sant Mirabai
Visitors can beamazed by the life like statue of Mirabai measuring 14 meters singing the devoted lyrics to the almighty and her eternal Lord strumming the ektara to her best. This wonderful monolith was created single handedly by MaendraJocelino Araujo and artistic style done in Greco-Roman.. Made of laterite stones in just a month one can see a tinge of Buddhist influence. But the kumkum on the forehead,the patti on her wrists and the parizona around her ankles gives the sculpture an Indian appeal. She can be seen garlanded onher neck with the ornament called Fullam made of flowers generally worn by the Goan Hindu women. A Precious lotus and a half-sun adds mystics to her posture. The sculpture is the longest latenite sculpture in india.
