Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
A very warm welcome will be offered to you as soon as you will touch the land of Gods, rituals, customs and prayers that is holy India. On arrival at Delhi International Airport Max Holidays representative will meet and transfer you to the hotel for night stay in Delhi.
Day 02 : Delhi Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast start the first day of your journey with a combined tour of Old and New Delhi by covering Laxmi Narayan Temple – this artistic temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi - the conserver of the Hindu Trinity, Iskcon Temple – Popularly known as ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna Temple’ has got beautifully designed architect which is devoted to Radha Krishna and Lotus Temple (Bahai Temple) – built in the shape of lotus, this temple is a center of Asian Headquarter of Bahai faith. This symbol of peace is known for being one of the most visited buildings in world. Next visit Chattarpur Mandir dedicated to Goddess Durga, the architect of this temple is similar to South Indian architecture, Raj Ghat - The burial land of Mahatma Gandhi and Qutub Minar - the tallest stone tower in the country dating back to 1193 AD. Your tour also includes drive through India Gate and President's Palace. In evening back to the hotel for night stay In Delhi.
Day 03 : Delhi – Varanasi Flight. Sarnath Excursion
In the morning after breakfast transfer to the domestic airport in Delhi from where you board your flight to Varanasi. On arrival at Varanasi meet with our representative and transfer to the pre booked hotel. Varanasi is the place where the trinity – The Ganges, Shiva and Kashi join together to lead for bliss. Afternoon enjoy excursion tour to Sarnath - a famous Buddhist site. It holds a great importance for Buddhist pilgrims as it is the place where Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment in BodhGaya. In the evening visit the Ghats of holy river to witness the live prayer ceremony i.e. evening aarti on the bank of the river Ganges. It is going to be really a great and unforgettable life long experience. Night stay at the hotel in the sacred city- Kashi.
Day 04 : Varanasi Sightseeing tour
Early in the morning during the sunrise take a boat ride on holy river Ganges to witness the morning activities and offerings on the river bank. Kashi is famous for beautiful sunrise, where the sun with its first ray start painting the ghats with golden color. After breakfast in the hotel enjoy sight seeing tour of the pilgrimage city of Varanasi. Visit Vishwanath Temple also known as the Golden Temple, Durga Temple also known as Monkey Temple and The Panchteerthis - the five largely consecrated ghats i.e. Assi, Dashashvamedh, Adi Keshava, Panchaganga and Manikarnika. Your tour also comprises drive through the world famous Banaras Hindu University - One of the largest and oldest universities in India offering very green and nonviolent campus. It has a museum called Bharat Kala Bhawan. Spend evening time in roaming around the busy streets in Varanasi and explore more. Night stay in your hotel in Varanasi.
Day 05 : Varanasi - Allahabad (135 kms / 03 hrs)
Depart to Allahabad by car. Allahabad, city of Sangam of sacred river, is one of the four sites of “Kumbha carnival”. On arrival check into your hotel. After wash & change at hotel enjoy the local sight seeing tour of Allahabad covering The Sangam – gathering point of three rivers viz Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, Allahabad Fort - The huge imposing castle built by Emperor Akbar stands on the banks of the river Yamuna, Bade Hanumanji, Ashoka Pillar – built in the 3rd century BC by the Mauryan emperor Great Ashoka, Akshaya Vat – an everlasting Banyan Tree positioned with in the Patalauri temple. In evening back to the hotel for night stay in Allahabad.
Day 06 : Allahabad - Ayodhya - Lucknow (300 kms / 07 hrs)
Early morning after breakfast head towards Lucknow. On the way to Lucknow stop at Ayodhya – the birth place of Lord Rama. The chief pull of Ayodhya is the Ram Janmabhumi (hometown of Lord Rama), Hanuman Garhi Temple, Lakshman Ghat, Kala Ram Temple, Kanak Bhawan Temple and numerous Jain shrines. In evening proceed to Lucknow. Lucknow is a shaking city that is observing an economic growth and is among the top ten quickly developing non-chief-metropolitan cities of India. On arrival check into your pre booked hotel for night stay in Lucknow.
Day 07 : Lucknow - Agra (overnight train journey)
You are in the city of ‘Nawab’s’, the city of culture, tradition and hospitality. Morning after breakfast take pleasure in city tour of Lucknow covering Bara Imambara, Chhota Imambara, Lucknow Residency and famous Bhul Bhulaiyan. Evening free to explore the local market and nearby area. After wards you will be transferred to the Lucknow Railway Station to board your air conditioned overnight train to Agra.
Day 08 : Agra sightseeing tour
Arrive at Agra railway station where the representative of Max Holidays is waiting to receive you and escort you to your hotel. Get relaxed till the afternoon. In afternoon take a half day guided tour of Agra and visit Red Fort (Agra Fort), Itmad-ud-Daula’s Tomb (also known as Baby Taj) and rest of the day is free for you to explore the local market place of Taj city. In evening back to the hotel for night stay in Agra.
Day 9 : Agra - Delhi via Mathura (205 kms / 05 hrs)
Early in the morning during the sunrise get ready to have a lifelong experience of seeing Taj Mahal in the bright golden light of Sun. Your morning is definitely going to be good one with the sightseeing of one of the seven wonders of the world. It is said that the beauty of this monument can be seen at its best during the sunset or sunrise. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the sweet memories of his beloved wife Mumtaz, Taj Mahal is an immense inspiring experience of true love. The most impressive monument yet built for love in the history is undoubtedly The Taj. Later drive to Delhi ex Mathura & Vrindavan. On arrival at Delhi check into your hotel for night stay in Delhi.
Day 10 : Delhi - Haridwar - Rishikesh (224 kms / 5.5 hrs)
Today after a relaxed morning we head to the holy cities of Haridwar and Rishikesh. The flowing water of the river Ganga seems to give pause to the running time in Haridwar. On arrival at Haridwar visit Har-Ki-Pauri, the holy ghat was built by King Vikramaditya in the remembrance of his brother Bhartrihari. Also visit Mansa Devi & Chandi Devi Temple by cable car. In evening take part in the grand Aarti ceremony at Har-Ki-Pauri and keep this mind blowing view deep in your heart safely for life time. In evening proceed to Rishikesh to check into your hotel for night stay in beautiful natural surrounding of Rishikesh.
Day 11: Rishikesh sightseeing tour
Rishikesh is one of the holiest cities for Hinduism and is also world famous as Meditation & Yoga capital in India. During the sightseeing of Rishikesh you will visit Laxman Jhula & Ram Jhula (Hanging Bridges), Parmarth Niketan Meditation ashram and several temples located in the city. In evening move around in the holy city and then come back to the hotel for night stay.
Day 12 : Rishikesh – Delhi (224 kms / 5.5 hrs)
Spend some free time in one of the finest pilgrimage destination in India and then drive back to Delhi. Night stay at Delhi hotel.
Day 13 : Leave Delhi
According to your onward flight departure timings Max Holidays representative will ensure a timely escorted transfer to the airport.
