Day 1 : Arrive Cochin
At Cochin Airport you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day free for relaxation. Evening go for traditional Kathakali dance show. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 : Cochin Sightseeing – Munnar
Morning go for half day guided city tour of Cochin. Cochin is referred as the Gateway to God’s own country, Kerala.Cochin is a colonial name, and original name is Kochi. The interesting places to be visited are Chinese Fishing Net, Jewish Synagogue and Dutch Palace. These Chinese Fishing nets were brought by the traders from the Chinese ruler Kublai’s Khan Court. Jewish Synagogue was constructed in the year 1568 AD and is well ornamented by the Chinese tiles and Belgian chandeliers. Dutch Palace was the creation of the Portuguese but later in the 17th century it was presented to the King of Kochi. After sightseeing is over drive to Munnar a beautiful hill station filled with tea and spice plantation, was once the summer retreat of the Britishers. On arrival check in one of the hill resort.
Day 3 : Munnar
Today full day explore Munnar , pay visit to Kundale Tea Plantation, Eravikulam Wildlife Sanctuary,Rajmalai Park and High Range Club. Night stay at your resort.
Day 4 : Munnar – Periyar 110 Km / 03 Hrs
Leaving behind Munnar head to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, surrounded by the high mountains of the Western Ghats. This Sanctuary is famous for the Tigers but apart from Tigers you can also see herd of elephants. On arrival check in jungle resort. Rest of the day free for own activities.
Day 5 : Periyar
Today morning leave for boat cruise to view the jungle activities where you can spot elephants, wild boar, sambar, and deer coming on the shore of the Periyar Lake. If you are lucky enough then you can also spot tigers coming to quench his thirst. Periyar Lake is the life line for all the faunas dwelling in the park. The vegetation is mainly of the moist deciduous type which mainly composes of marshy grasslands. The main fun is to watch the herds of elephant bathing in the Periyar Lake. Full day free to take the jungle activities. Night stay at resort.
Day 6 : Periyar - Kumarakom 130 Km / 03 Hrs
Morning head to Kumarakom, paradise for the backwater resorts. It is situated on the Vembanad Lake engulfed with mangrove forests and nestling in the coconut groves. One can have an exhilarating experience by taking boating and fishing activities.Kumarakom is also considered to be the ornithologist’s paradise due to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. On arrival check in one of the beautiful resort. Rest of the day free to enjoy the facilities of the resort.
Day 7 : Kumarakom – Alleppey (Backwater Cruise)-Mararikulam
Morning after breakfast embark the Deluxe Air-conditioned Houseboat which sails on the backwaters , taking you to some of the typical Kerala village where you can have the first hand experience of Kairali culture. See how toddy is tapped from the coconut tree, and how ropes are made of coir. The house boat has all the modern facilities with well fitted wash room and cozy bed room. Overnight stay at Houseboat..
Day 8 : Alleppey – Mararikulam 20 KM / 30 Minutes
Sail slowly to Alleppey then by road to Cochin (approx. 57 miles). Arrive and check in at hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 : Mararikulam
Day free to relax on the beach..
Day 10 : Mararikulam – Cochin 55 Km / 01 Hr
Today in the meantime you will be transferred to the Cochin Airport to board your flight back to home or onward journey..
