This tour takes you to the land of thunder dragons which is a heaven for the nature and adventure lovers. Bhutan is a landlocked country bordered by Tibet, China, Nepal and Bangladesh. You encounter some of the most breathtaking view of the snow covered peaks and deep valleys. Darjeeling one of the beautiful hill station in West Bengal world renowned for its tea plantation.
Day 1 : Arrive Bagdogra flying from Delhi/Kolkata /Mumbai
Arrive at Bagdogra airport ex Kolkata or Delhi and transfer to Darjeeling by jeep. Check in at the hotel in Darjeeling for relaxation. Overnight stay in hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 2 : Darjeeling sightseeing tour
Buffet breakfast at hotel will be followed by a sightseeing tour of Darjeeling. The city is famous for its tea plantations and not to mention its natural beauty supported by the great Himalayas. Visit Tiger Hill, Ghoom monastery (1850 AD), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and experience the making of traditional items such as feather goods, woolen goods, carpets etc. in the Tibetan Refugee Self help center. Overnight at Hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 3 : Darjeeling to Kalimpong 51 Km / 01 hour
After breakfast move ahead for the second destination of your tour i.e. Kalimpong. A place known for charming nursery industry, active bazaars, Himalayan peak views, and the spectacle of Kanchenjunga. Evening explore this place and overnight at Hotel.
Day 4 : Kalimpong to Gangtok 77 Km 01 hour 30 min
Today take your breakfast and head towards the perfect blend of past and present in Gangtok the capital city of Sikkim. The city has its own presence of Stupas and Gompas (Monasteries) with which the locals are attached very deeply and distinctly like no other cities of Himalayas. On arrival at Gangtok check into hotel and later in the afternoon go for the sightseeing tour and visit Do-Drul Chorte a 200 year old Monastery and Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom- a genuine warehouse of fine carpets, blankets and shawls. Overnight at Hotel in Gangtok.
Day 5 : Gangtok
Morning after breakfast in hotel restaurant leave for the full day sightseeing tour of Gangtok. You will visit Rumtek Monastery which is more an excursion to a tremendous place. Then enjoy the spectacular Tashi view point which offers view of Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Siniolchu. Evening visit Research Institute of Tibetology and overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 6 : Gangtok to Phuentsholing 220 Km / 07 hours
Morning after having breakfast depart through the fabulous tea gardens for the Bhutan’s Border to stay at Phuentsholing. Here you will experience the difference between cultures and lifestyle of two countries India and Bhutan. On arrival you will go for a sightseeing of Zangtho Pelri Lhakhang and Kharbandi Gompa. Overnight at Hotel in Phuentsholing.
Day 7 : Phuentsholing to Thimphu 176 Km / 07 hours
Today after breakfast prepare yourself to enter into a new country and discover new customs and religion on your route to the capital city of Bhutan, “Thimphu”. On arrival at Thimphu day free for relaxation. Overnight at Thimphu.
Day 8 : Thimphu
Sightseeing tour of Thimphu will be preceded today after a buffet breakfast. You will visit Tranhichho Dzong (The magnificent castle), Memorial Chhorten stupa built in the remembrance of Bhutan’s third king, the National Library of Bhutan, textile and folk Heritage museum of Bhutan and the Government Handicrafts Emporium of Thimphu. Evening spent time at hotel to relax. Overnight at Thimphu.
Day 9 : Thimphu to Punakha 77 Km / 03 hours
Morning buffet breakfast at the hotel after you proceed for Punakha en-route visiting Do Chula pass possess most enthralling views of Bhutan. Arrive Punakha and visit the seventeenth- century Punakha Dzong and observe the Wangduephodrang Dzong at Wangduephodrang where one can find the confluence of Punakha Chhu and Tang Chhu rivers. Overnight at Punakha..
Day 10 : Punakha to Paro 150 Km /07 hours
Today start your day with the departure to gorgeous valley of Paro which prides itself on comprising rich culture, picturesque beauty, hundreds of folklore. Paro is a city encompassing few sites which conclude to become a good tour at the end of day. These sites include Ta Dzong, National Museum of the kingdom of Bhutan and Ringpung Dzong which you will visit on arrival to Paro. Overnight at Paro.
Day 11 : Paro
Morning buffet breakfast at Hotel and set off for the sightseeing tour of Paro where you will visit fortress of Durkgyel Dzong which is now ruined. This fortress was many times invaded by the Tibetan armies and was resisted by Bhutanese soldiers. Afternoon we will visit one of the traditional farm house to understand the lifestyle, culture and religion of the local residents. Evening free for leisure activities. Overnight at Paro.
Day 12 : Leave Paro
Buffet breakfast at Hotel. Day free for leisure and on time transferred to Airport to board on your flight for further destination.
