Goa famous for the beaches is also known for the Goa carnival that takes place in the month of February. This much awaited three day event is full of 
fun, frolic and amusement. Word ‘Carnival ‘means throw away meat and abstinence from meat during this time is mandatory. This Christian festival has religious importance as it is the beginning of forty days period of lent before Easter. Just before the Easter Sundays Goa becomes alive with this festival. Entire Goa is decorated with streamers and people from different communities prepare for the fun parades and tableaus with various themes. The enthusiastic people of Goa come out with live bands and street plays. Number of competitions and functions are also held and winners are awarded prizes by the king. Adding to the enjoyment people smear colors smear on each others faces .As this festival is a symbol of Goan culture so it also attracts tourists from other parts of India and world. The festival is concluded with the Red-and-Black dance which is held by the Clube National in Panjim. In short Goa Carnival is festival dominated by enjoyment where people come together and spread happiness.
Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai
Arrive at Mumbai International. Airport; meet Max Holidays representative who will transfer you to your hotel.After completing check in formalities relax at the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 02 : Mumbai sightseeing
This morning after breakfast leave for Mumbai sightseeing visiting the Prince of Wales museum (closed on Mondays) Kamala Nehru Park, Dhobi Ghats, Juhu beach and Crawford market. Also visit the famous Elephanta caves and enjoy boat cruise. Evening free and overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 : Mumbai/ Goa
Intime transfer to the airport to board the flight for Goa. Arrive and transfer to your hotel. Evening free to participate in the famous Goa Carnival which is mirror of Portuguese culture & style of festivities. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Goa
Breakfast at hotel’s Coffee shop & later explore the beautiful beaches of Goa Rest of the day free for leisure. In the evening enjoy the traditional carnival with Goan delicious food & wine, watching dance & songs. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 : Goa
Another day free in Goa to enjoy the festivities of the Goan festival and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06 : Goa/ Mumbai
Intime transfer to the airport to board flight for Mumbai. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07 : Mumbai departure
Morning breakfast and later departure as per the scheduled time for onward journey.
