No other river is worshipped as extensively as River Ganges in India.  The India Cruises Tour of 3 nights and 4 days takes you on a heritage tour through the River Ganges.  The sites give you an idea of the culture, history and age old traditions of India. Whether young or old you can cherish the India cruise as it is blend of adventure, thrill and the excellent facilities provided on the cruise makes it really enjoyable. The cruiser will take you to Belur Math, Chandannagar with its French connection, Mayapur (the headquarters of ISKCON), Nabadwip, Murshidabad, and Kalna.

Day 01 : Leave Kolkatta Jetty           
The India cruise tour starts at 3 PM. from Millennium Park Jetty, Kolkata. The cruiser sails down the Howrah bridge, passing through various heritage sites on the banks of the River including number of Ghats and Temples. After visiting the historical point of Job Charnock, house of Dolls, Nimtolla Ghat and oldest Gun & Shell Factory at Cassipur the tourists arrive at Belur. Here the guests leave to visit the famous Belur Math built by Swami Vivekanada in honour of great Ramkrishna Paramhansa.

Evening proceed to Chandan Nagar – French colony where one can see the Churches, the Clock Tower and old hotels in French architecture which are now house of civil courts and various educational institutions. Later dinner at the cruiser which halts at Triveni for night stay.

Day 02 : Mayapur, Nabadwip  and Lal Bagh
This morning the cruiser reaches Mayapur – which are the headquarters of ISKCON. The guests disembark to see this divine abode of Lord Krishna. According to some Mayapur is the spiritual capital of the world. The lunch served here is a symbol of purity and simplicity. Later proceed to Nabadwip, situated on the western bank. It was a great centre of learning and was called the Oxford of Bengal. At night the cruiser will halt at Lal Bagh in front of Hazar Duari – the palace with thousand doors.

Day 03 : Murshidabad, Battleground of Plassey       
Today visit to Murshidabad which is one of the oldest cities of West Bengal and known for its rich heritage.  The visitors begin the day with a pleasant walk through Khushagh, Mughal style Gardens followed by to historic places of  interest like the Nizamat Kila (the Fortress of the Nawabs), also known as the Hazaarduari Palace (Palace of a Thousand Doors), the Moti Jhil (Pearl Lake) , the Muradbagh Palace and the Khushbagh Cemetery . After lunch guests can spend some time in shopping of Murshidabad silk.

Later the cruiser passes through the  battleground of Plassey. Evening becomes alive with the entertainment programmes at the cruise tour which winds its way back.

Day 04 : Kalna
This morning guests enjoy a  morning trip to the ancient terracotta temples at Kalna. One can visit the old Shiva temple with concentric rings made up of 108 srinelets . Return back to the vessel which is now heading back to Kolkata and on the way  have a clear look at the Dutch Cemetery at Cainsura and the Portugese Churchat Bandel.

The cruise ends at about 3 PM at the Millennium Park, Kolkata
