About the Beach
Lying in the north Goa, Baga beach is a part of the coastline that stretches upto thirty kms. The beach, though not as famous as the nearby Calangute beach is a definite drawer of tourists who wish to retreat from the fast pace of their routine life. Best time to visit
Baga beach is worth visiting anytime during the year, however, heavy rainfall between June to October can dampen the spirits of tourists who want to enjoy completely. So, the best time for the tourists to visit the beach is during the months of November to February.
Activities on the beach
Baga beach, which is basically an extension of the Calangute beach, is more isolated than its immediate neighbour. Tourists visiting the beach can enjoy the scenic beauty of the beach which is markedly different from that of other beaches. The view of sunset, especially is outstanding.

Despite its beauty, Baga is more known as a destination for water sports(like Para sailing, water skiing and wind surfing) and fishing especially with the foreigners who use it a base.
The nightlife of Baga beach is much more vibrant than other beaches. Tito'sis hugely popular with the tourists because it has the only dance floors with superb sound system outside the big hotels of Baga.

The Medicinal Spring is also quiet famous with the tourists as a perfect location for picnic. Tourist can also take a dip into the water of the spring which, as per its name is believed to possess medicinal value.
Dominating in the background of Baga is the Baga hill with the Baga Retreat House at its peak. The house, also known as the Casa de Retiros, is dedicated to St Francis Xavier.
A little more adventurous tourist can embark on a crocodileand dolphin spotting tour in the backwaters of the Mandovi River to the Zuari River. Densely forested with mangrove trees, the banks of the rivers simply enamouring. Dolphins viewing is in any case a pleasure for everyone.

» By Air - - Dabolim airport is the closest airport which is 29kms from the Go an capital Panjim. From Panjim, it is just half an hour drive to Baga.
» By Rail - The closest railway station is at Karmali which is 11 kms from Panjim.
» By Road - From Mapusa, it takes just about ten minutes to reach Baga beach. Frequent bus services are available also from Panjim.
