About the Anjuna Beach, Goa :
Popularly known as freak capital of the world, Anjuna Beach in Goa is a perfect place for the hippies as they stay here sometimes even for more than couple of months. Anjuna Beach was discovered in 1`950-1960 by a group of hippy travelers and since then it has been a prime spot for them for full moon beach parties for hippies and other travelers. The flea market at Anjuna beach is a delight to visit as the traveler can buy swim suites, water sport equipments, second hand bikes, cameras and many other things they desire.
Best time to visit :
June to September is the time of rainfall in Goa so the other months are rather better to visit Anjuna Beach in Goa. October to March are suppose to be the best time to visit Anjuna Beach in Goa.
Activities on the beach :
Like other beautiful beaches of Goa, Anjuna Beach also offers many water sports, beach stay, para sailing, water biking, sunset view and night life. Night life is not exactly a charm but eating out near the beach can be a good thing to make your evening special.

Albuquerque Mansion built in 1920 is one of the main attractions for travelers near Anjuna Beach.
Wednesday flea market at Anjuna starts at around 11 AM every week when tourists comes to this place in a large number. One can find whatever you want to buy in Goa. A ride on an Elephant or a photograph with one of the Sadhu’s can add charm to your visit to flea market of Anjuna Beach.
Reaching Calangute Beach :
By air : Located in the North of Goa, Anjuna is basically a small village on the shore of Arabian Sea in Goa. The distance from Goa airport is around 47 kms and the city Panaji is around 18 kms away from Anjuna Beach.
By rail : Karmali, Goa is the nearest rail head to visit Anjuna Beach Goa. Karmali Railway station is about 29 kms away from Anjuna.
By road : Frequent buses are running from Mapusa (8 kms) and Panaji (18 kms)
