Rajasthan, India's desert state, was once a collection of princely kingdoms where feudal traditions still carry on amidst forts and palace hotels. Rajasthan is where all the country’s similes and metaphors appear to have come together to create a visual extravaganza.Majestic palaces and rugged forts, spectacular deserts, wooded hills and tranquil lakes, bustling towns and quiet villages, amazing flora and fauna and of course, the colorful and vibrant people of Rajasthan form an intricate tapestry of mysticism, grandeur and rusticity. Behind the breathtaking beautiful facade, expect to find contradictions to the ordinary and mundane aspects of vacationing. Wherever you travel, particularly when you escape from the popular tourist destinations, you will come across the unexpected, whether it is a local fair or a bustling bazaar or mind-blowing architectural wonders. The mood and the rhythm of the countryside changes from one region to another, and from season to season. It is a land of magical fantasies that remain a lifetime memory.

Music too plays an important role in the Hindu religion. The tradition of Indian music should be understood in the context of Indian life and thought. It is known to be a mystical experience, analogous to yoga ...

Buddhadharma or Buddhism, as it is widely known today, was founded over 2500 years ago in ancient India by the historical Buddha, Shakyamuni. After attaining realization in approximately 531 B.C.E., the Buddha taught widely until his passing in approximately 486 B.C.E tibetan historians hold that by the time of his passing, the Buddha had taught the whole corpus of Buddhist teachings, encompassing what came to be known as the three major vehicles (Skt. yanas), or cycles of the Buddhist teachings. Hinayana, Mahayana and Vajrayana . Each of these cycles of teaching became popular at different periods in the history of Buddhism.

INDIA's GLORIOUS DIVERSITY extends to religious life as well. Eighty-five percent of Indian's diversity. Boasting a lively pantheon of deities that smile from exquisitely sculpted temple gopura, the Hindu religion absorbs beliefs and philosophies from all over, thus practices frequently differ from place to place. Nevertheless the basic tenets of Hinduism were laid out in the Vedas, and describe the goal of uniting with Brahma, the creator, via a life of asceticism and meditation. Hindu belief includes the concept of samsara, the cycle of death and rebirth, and release from samsara, or moksha.Muslims are a significant ten percent of the population, and all over India, mosques are almost as ubiquitous as temple. Islam worships one God, Allah, eschews pork, and Muslim women are encouraged to veil themselves. Muslims are no longer a large part of the population, but their impact throughout Indian history is felt in its architecture and in several cities.Other significant religious groups include the Jains and Buddhists, once much more prominent than they are now, and shoes temple architecture has left its mark on the Indian landscape, the Sikh community, Christians, and Zoroastrians.religious tour india Badrinath - Kedarnath - Uttarkashi - Vaishno-devi - Kanya Kumari - mammalapuram
